Christian Rap with a classy west coast hip-hop feel, with biblical themes and poetic content that grip the heart and challenge the motives of men. DuShawn M. Washington, among many other things, is an up and coming producer and songwriter from Riverside C.A. DuShawn has a sincere love for writing and has developed a powerful poetic content inspired mostly by his belief in God. DuShawn has been writing poetry since the tender age of thirteen and has remained faithful to his love ever since. On November 3rd, 2001 his talent unveiled itself winning first place in the 2nd Annual Black History Talent Show held at Castle Park in Riverside, which granted him a much appreciated scholarship for collage. In 2002 DuShawn represented Lincoln High in a speech contest held at the historical Mission Inn in Riverside. He exceeded expectations and won a monetary gift that evening. On the 22nd of April 2003 Mr. Washington participated in the Creative Writing Day contest held at Cal St. San Bernardino University, were out of 500 entries he won 1st place unanimously. DuShawn was awarded the grand prize of being published in the University's nationally distributed book, The Pacific Review. Mr. Washington has been producing for about six years now but he developed a love for music long before then. As a child he would watch his uncle K.T. produce numerous artists as well as himself. By listing through the years DuShawn developed his ear for music. He Says K.T. s RNB influence shaped DuShawn's style of RNB type chords over Hip Hop style drum sequences. DuShawn's rhyme ability compliments his production because he has a great since of rhythm and style that gives him a even greater perspective on music production and even more so an edge over the competition. DuShawn is certainly a talented young man to watch for. He has work on the coming Fathers Of The Sport soundtrack. A documentary filmed by Xavier Mitchell.
